What is rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is surgery for your nose, which is done to change the shape, size and overall appearance of your nose, to make it appealing. The upper segment of the nose is called bone, and the lower segment is called cartilage. Rhinoplasty can restructure bone, cartilage and even skin.

Is rhinoplasty painful?

The pain associated with Rhinoplasty depends on the nose condition and the treatment done, for example, if the nose is bumped or manipulated, the pain is more intense and lasts longer. In general, the pain is known to be minimal or moderate which persists for 36 to 72 hours. Your nose will be sensitive for up to three months post-surgery. However, it is worth it, as your appearance will slowly improve.

Is rhinoplasty a major surgery?
Your nose appears to be a small body part, but it is a crucial element of the entire respiratory system. Therefore, any mistake is risky and hence rhinoplasty is regarded as major surgery.

How long does rhinoplasty last?
Rhinoplasty commonly takes 1.5 to 3 hours and the surgery gives permanent results. Thus, be extremely cautious when choosing a clinic for the surgery.
